Thanks to an early publication of the games product page on Amazon, God of War: Ascension was revealed today.
Box art for the game as well as a trailer are now available for view. God of War: Ascension looks to be a prequel to the original games, introducing us to a younger and slightly less bloodied Kratos. Expect to get your hands on this latest installment to the franchise in 2013.

On a more related comment. Do we need another God of War? Especially since it looks like they're repeating the exact same formula they've had for the past 5 games?
Past 5 games? Did i miss 2 games somewhere, as far as i'm aware this is the fourth God of War to be brought out.
And i'm looking forward to the new game, thou i don't have a ps3 just need to crash at a friends place again and finish it within 24 hours like i did on the third part xD. Besides i've have always liked the Greek Mythology, enjoyed each game and i'm sure i'll like this 1 aswell.
This will be the seventh title to come out. Theres the four console titles, GOW 1-3 and Ascension. Two PSP titles, GOW:COO and GOW:GOS. And a mobile game, GOW: Betrayal. If you want to even count it.
